There's something genuinely exciting happening on the Redcliffe Peninsula, and if you haven't already heard about it, it's worth paying attention. Brisbane Roar has been making Kayo Stadium in Kippa-Ring a proper home away from home this 2025/26 A-League season, scheduling both their men's and women's sides to play on the same day in what's become one of the better live football experiences in South East Queensland.

The setup is simple and it works. The men's side kicks things off in the afternoon under the Isuzu UTE A-League banner, and once that final whistle blows, fans stick around for the women's Ninja A-League clash in the evening. Two full games of top-flight Australian football, one venue, one day. For locals across the Moreton Bay region, it's a rare chance to catch elite sport without driving into the Brisbane CBD.

Kayo Stadium itself has been through quite a transformation. Originally known as Dolphin Oval, the ground sits in Kippa-Ring in the City of Moreton Bay and serves as the home of the Redcliffe Dolphins rugby league club, with Brisbane Roar using it as a secondary home. The redevelopment between 2015 and 2018, followed by a third stage in 2020 that added a new northern grandstand, turned it into a genuinely modern facility. Brisbane Roar has indicated it expects to operate a hybrid venue model for the foreseeable future, with a planned split of approximately 7 home matches at Suncorp Stadium and 6 at Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe going into the 2026/27 season. That's not a one-off arrangement, that's a long-term presence being built in the area.
